Notice on the Disposal of Waste Batteries
As a retailer of batteries and products containing batteries, we are legally required to inform you about the proper disposal of waste batteries. This obligation is based on the EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 as well as applicable national legislation.
Your Obligations as an End User
- Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
- The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin indicates separate collection.
- Waste batteries must be returned to appropriate collection points.
Return and Disposal Options
You can return used batteries that we currently sell or have sold in the past free of charge to:

Alternatively, you can dispose of batteries at public collection points, retail stores, or municipal recycling centers.
Marking of Hazardous Substances
Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the following symbols:
- Pb = contains lead
- Cd = contains cadmium
- Hg = contains mercury
- Crossed-out bin symbol = separate disposal required
Legal Information
- The EU Battery Regulation has been in force since February 18, 2024.
- Additional obligations for retailers will apply from August 18, 2025.
